It’s all about attitude. Is this what a squeaky happy life is supposed to be about? Yes, good temperaments and positive outlooks really are a big part of a happy life. Attitudes Make a Big Difference! Have you ever thought about how many different attitudes, both good and bad we humans with our diverse dispositions have come up with? Just to jog your memory, here are some positive ones: A carefree attitude, a happy-go-lucky attitude, a laid-back attitude, a rock-and-roll attitude, or a winning attitude—these are the happy frames of mind, some to the point of being charming. And perhaps there are some stylishly elegant ones that exist that are not named here.
Then there are the negative ones! (Is it just me, or are there more of these?) You decide—here they are: a bad attitude, a bad-boy (or girl) attitude, a ballsy attitude, a defeatist attitude, a catty attitude, a belligerent attitude, a devil-may-care attitude, a holier-than-thou attitude, or a rude attitude. If you have any of the latter, perhaps an attitude adjustment is in order. Or how about the common things we speak to others: “you have an attitude” or “drop the attitude”.
Or Maybe we should just: “Swallow a toad in the morning and you will encounter nothing more disgusting the rest of the day.” Nicholas Chamfort
P.S. Don’t give me any attitude.
“Say “Yes” to the seedlings and a giant forest cleaves the sky.
Say “Yes” to the universe and the planets become your neighbors.
Say “Yes” to dreams of love and freedom.
It is the password to utopia.”
Brooks Atkinson, ‘Once Around the Sun’

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright Read the rest of this entry
Ability is a quality of being able to do something, especially in the physical, mental, or financial areas of our lives. Sometimes it is described as a natural or acquired skill or talent.
Capability, on the other hand, while closely related, is a talent or ability that has potential for development or use. The capacity to be used, treated, or developed for a specific purpose. Perhaps the biggest difference between the two is that capabilities are what you think you can handle and if you willing to go the extra mile to do it. It is all about potential. While abilities are qualities that may or may not develop, our true capabilities lie in our potential, which may or may not be utilized, depending on our willingness and frame of mind.
I believe that we really can handle much more than we think we can. This has happened many times when people have been in crises. If we look back on what was, or could have been, a catastrophe, we wonder how we got through it. It was our capabilities that got us through it. I believe that we are much more capable than we realize! If were to access our strengths and abilities and put that potential into action, I think we will soon realize what our capabilities are.
See ability quotes below…and you can also view a few quotes about capability here so you can compare the difference.
