It’s all about attitude. Is this what a squeaky happy life is supposed to be about? Yes, good temperaments and positive outlooks really are a big part of a happy life. Attitudes Make a Big Difference! Have you ever thought about how many different attitudes, both good and bad we humans with our diverse dispositions have come up with? Just to jog your memory, here are some positive ones: A carefree attitude, a happy-go-lucky attitude, a laid-back attitude, a rock-and-roll attitude, or a winning attitude—these are the happy frames of mind, some to the point of being charming. And perhaps there are some stylishly elegant ones that exist that are not named here.
Then there are the negative ones! (Is it just me, or are there more of these?) You decide—here they are: a bad attitude, a bad-boy (or girl) attitude, a ballsy attitude, a defeatist attitude, a catty attitude, a belligerent attitude, a devil-may-care attitude, a holier-than-thou attitude, or a rude attitude. If you have any of the latter, perhaps an attitude adjustment is in order. Or how about the common things we speak to others: “you have an attitude” or “drop the attitude”.
Or Maybe we should just: “Swallow a toad in the morning and you will encounter nothing more disgusting the rest of the day.” Nicholas Chamfort

“Say “Yes” to the seedlings and a giant forest cleaves the sky.
Say “Yes” to the universe and the planets become your neighbors.
Say “Yes” to dreams of love and freedom.
It is the password to utopia.”
Brooks Atkinson, ‘Once Around the Sun’
A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition. William Arthur Ward

A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes. Hugh Downs
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright [Read more…]
