Attitude Archives

It’s all about attitude. Is this what a squeaky happy life is supposed to be about? Yes, good temperaments and positive outlooks really are a big part of a happy life. Attitudes Make a Big Difference! Have you ever thought about how many different attitudes, both good and bad we humans with our diverse dispositions have come up with? Just to jog your memory, here are some positive ones: A carefree attitude, a happy-go-lucky attitude, a laid-back attitude, a rock-and-roll attitude, or a winning attitude—these are the happy frames of mind, some to the point of being charming. And perhaps there are some stylishly elegant ones that exist that are not named here.

Then there are the negative ones! (Is it just me, or are there more of these?) You decide—here they are: a bad attitude, a bad-boy (or girl) attitude, a ballsy attitude, a defeatist attitude, a catty attitude, a belligerent attitude, a devil-may-care attitude, a holier-than-thou attitude, or a rude attitude.  If you have any of the latter, perhaps an attitude adjustment is in order. Or how about the common things we speak to others: “you have an attitude” or “drop the attitude”.

Or Maybe we should just: “Swallow a toad in the morning and you will encounter nothing more disgusting the rest of the day.” Nicholas Chamfort

Thoughts contrast like everything else in life…you can use these contrasts to develop and grow. The best thing to do is to make an effort to become aware of your negative thinking as it happens. You may not beable to do this all the time, but just taking small steps will lead to changing habitual thinking and soon you will be thinking positive over half of the time! You will be amazed at how much your life will change for the better in a few months, or even a few weeks if you are determined and consistent!
